Amazon Returns Performance Dashboard
Amazon is an evolving company that takes different measures to enhance the experience of both buyers and sellers on the platform. On the 2nd of September, Amazon announced the proposed launch of the Amazon Returns Performance Dashboard, which would take effect on the 21st of October 2021.
According to Amazon, the Return Performance Dashboard would improve the seller-fulfilled returns experience and enables you to observe return performances on the site. With this new feature, you can easily manage issues related to returns from buyers.
Another important feature is being able to determine if you’re measuring up to the expectations of Amazon’s customer service, or whether you’re having issues in any aspect that relates to returns.
The performance dashboard will track three key metrics for performance returns:
- Return requests approved in less than 24 hours
- Total declined return requests
- Return-related buyer contact rate
The announcement by Amazon also states that each performance metrics would consist of details in the following areas:
- Current performance of the metric
- Threshold of target metric
- Metric definition
- Explanation of the metric calculation
- Explanation of the metric’s importance
- Policy information
Return Analysis Page
Apart from the performance dashboard, Amazon is also launching the Returns Analysis page; a tool that enables you to identify any product listings with return issues. The essence is to resolve issues relating to returns immediately.
With this new feature, you’d be able to track the top return issues for each of your product listings, which helps to determine why such issues emerge. A solution that highlights the inability to meet customer’s expectation, without giving insights on reoccurring issues, leaves much to be desired because it doesn’t impact on product efficiency.
Within the Return Analysis page, everything is covered!
This feature reveals top return issues on products, so you can analyse sales and determine whether the information about the product lacks crucial details. Also, you could verify if the promises are beyond the delivery capacity of the item because it fails to meet performance expectations.
The Returns Analysis page focuses on three areas:
- Product category
- Time frame
- Type of Product order
Immediately a problem is accurately detected, the right corrective measures are employed to resolve the issue. It could entail minor editing of the product description to sort high returns, or replacing a product with something more appropriate.
To easily access the returns page, you may click through a pop-up window within the Manage Returns page to get a metrics return performance summary.
You should watch out for this new feature!
